It's always wonderful to collaborate with our long-term clients - the Vicks (P&G Singapore) team and our lovely folks at Publicis Singapore. 

The whole process was so exciting - from casting someone who can learn the art of puppeteering and a special coach to train him, building a huge set at Film City, Mumbai and creating this magic of storytelling in just 15 seconds!

A big thank you to our director Prashant Madan who helmed this challenging project with us with his usual super skills and charm!

BTS: Vicks Action 500 - Mr. Prabhu Ganesan

Chennai

This shoot can be counted one of the most thrilling and challenging experiences of our lives! We were going to shoot with the legendary Indian actor Mr. Prabhu Ganesan in his hometown Chennai. All pre-production and planning was going smoothly but how can there be a production ever without surprises?

Unfortunately, our production designer in Chennai was tested Covid positive just four days before the shoot and we were left with no production designer to design the set for a celebrity shoot… in a new city! Mayhem!

But as we always say, we are stronger than our problems. So we took charge, our beloved director Yogesh came to the rescue and turned production designer for this project and we managed to turn this around in 2 days just in time for the shoot date! Need we say more; the results are out there for everyone to see!

Of course, the cherry on the cake was the experience of shooting with Prabhu Sir! And we couldn’t be any happier to have had this experience!

Shot remotely in Delhi during the Mumbai lockdown in 2020

Shooting under the lockdown situation in India was a whole new experience. We were doing pre-production simultaneously in two cities – Delhi and Kerala, due to the uncertainty of lockdown announcements that could happen anywhere anytime. Finding a location was next to impossible as most of the location owners were refusing to let their place out for shoots out of fear. Same story with sourcing talents! Still, our enthusiastic line producers and dedicated casting directors kept at it and sourced options in both places and we had 2 sets of PPM decks ready – ready to roll at either location!

But in spite of so much pre-empting and prep, we had a curveball thrown at us just one day before the PPM and both our location options in Delhi suddenly became inaccessible to us.

As always, we were stronger than our problems and churned out a new location within a day!

We shot with a small crew of 25 people with very strict health guidelines. It required crazy amount of synchronization between so many different people scattered in different places, without anyone physically meeting anyone. It was tough but crazy exciting and a lot more rewarding. Thanks to everyone at Publicis Singapore and our wonderful clients at P&G Singapore who believed in us, once again!
